From postman to educator via psychiatric technician, our newsletter editor, David Wax, has had a varied career. He grew up in Brooklyn and worked as a postman with a route that included the World Trade Center. He moved to California in 1975 earning M.A. degrees while working as Psychiatric Technician. He met his wife, Remy (also a P.T.) on a ski trip. They share a love for tennis and have played for many years. They now have a grown son and daughter.
Currently David is a consultant, contractor and administrator coach. During his career he served as a general and special education teacher, middle school assistant principal, elementary principal, special education, student services and SELPA director and district superintendent. Ed.D in Educational leadership, M.A. degrees in education administation and elementary education, and a B.A. degree in sociology.
David and Remy play on USTA league teams for PHTC and David has served as USTA captain many times.
